Focus App is a free Mac app that comes with every Deadline order. It sits in your menu bar and does two things: plays sound built for concentration, and times your work sessions so you know how much deep work you actually got done.

Sound that blocks everything out
Focus music, colored noise, and real recorded ambiences cover up whatever is going on around you, so you can stay on the task. Presets for deep work, reading, light work, and power naps.
A pomodoro timer that makes you take breaks
Tracks how long you've been at it and reminds you to pause between sessions. 25/5, 50/10, or 90/20, plus plain countdowns and open-ended sessions.
A log of your focus
Every session lands in a log. One glance shows how much deep work you did today and this week. Harder to lie to yourself about it, which is the point.
It updates itself
Same rules as the formula: ship, measure, sharpen. Updates install in the background while you work.

Download and open
Open the DMG and drag Focus App onto the Applications folder. The window points the way.
Launch it once
Focus lives next to your clock, top right. No dock icon, no window clutter. Signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens without warnings.
Enter your access code
Paste the code from your Focus email on first launch. One code per customer, licensed forever, every future update included.
Requirements.
The short version: any Apple Silicon Mac from the last few years, running a current macOS.
